Yujin Muraishi
Yujin Muraishi was born in Japan, Kanagawa. He started his ballet training in 1999 at the Nowa Ballet School. In 2012, he enrolled at the Elmhurst Ballet School in Birmingham, under the direction of Robert Parker, where he was trained by Errol Pickford (2012-2014). He participated in several performances at the Birmingham Royal Ballet: Cinderella, Aladdin, Sleeping Beauty, Prince of Pagoda, Les Rendez-vou, Elite Syncopations, etc.
He was a winner of the Internal competition of the Elmhurst Ballet School for two years in a row (2013 and 2014), as well as runner up of the Barbara Geoghegan Award of the Checchetti Classical Ballet Competition (2013). In 2014, he graduated from Elmhurst Ballet School and joined the ballet ensemble of the SNG Opera in balet Ljubljana (Slovenian National Theatre Opera and Ballet Ljubljana). .
He has so far appeared in the following ballet productions staged at the SNG Opera in balet Ljubljana: The Nutcracker – A Christmas Carol (Prince), Don Quixote (Solo Gypsy Dancer), The Sleeping Beauty (Prince, Bluebird), Swan Lake (The Prince’s Friend), The Great Gatsby (Mayer Wolfsheim), Le Corsaire (Conrad), Giselle (Albrecht), Romeo and Juliet (Romeo, Mercutio, Benvolio), Ljubezen/Love (Ljubimci/Lovers), A Viennese Evening - Opus 73, Alles Waltzer, 5 Tangos, Doctor Zhivago, Meso srca/Heartmeat, Composition, Orphic Hymn and Ballet 100.
