Loris Voltolini
The conductor Loris Voltolini, who was born in Split (Croatia), completed his studies in conducting and piano at the Academy of Music in Zagreb. He started his career in 1980 as a Conductor with the Opera Croatian National Theatre in Split, where he stayed until 1990. In Split he was also engaged as a Leader and Conductor of the Croatian National Theatre Chamber Choir and the Ivan Lukačić Chamber Choir. From 1991 to 1995, he was an Artistic Director and Principal Conductor at the Opera Croatian National Theatre in Rijeka.
From 1990, he was performing as a Permanent Guest Conductor at the Ljubljana Opera Slovenian National Theatre and from 1996 he has been engaged by this theatre on a permanent basis. Voltolini's repertoire comprises more than 60 opera and ballet pieces and his concert repertoire includes numerous oratorios, symphonies and many other orchestral works. He has also taken part in many national and international festivals. He has been permanently conducting to the Croatian National Theatre Orchestra in Split, Croatian National Theatre Orchestra in Zagreb, Croatian National Theatre Orchestra in Rijeka as well as to the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra, Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra, Orchestra of the Seville Philharmonic, Croatian Radio Television Symphony Orchestra, Dubrovnik Festival Orchestra, Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg and many other orchestras. He has toured in Italy, Spain, Austria, Macedonia and South Korea.
